Biodegradable Disposable Nappies

After considerable investment over a number of years, EcoQuest has successfully developed a new disposable nappy which, at the conclusion of six months independent scientific testing, achieved more than 90% of its maximum theoretical value for biodegradation. The testing was conducted in accordance with Australian Standard AS4736-2006 Biodegradable Plastics.

A rigorous programme of independent consumer testing of the new nappy with mothers and their babies has now also been completed. In comparative testing against the product which they currently purchased, mothers were impressed with the performance of the new EcoQuest nappy.

Given these positive results from both the scientific and consumer testing, Eco Quest is now planning to launch this new 90%+ biodegradable disposable nappy range, packaged together with biodegradable disposal bags, in domestic and overseas markets as swiftly as possible.
