After considerable investment over a number of years, EcoQuest has successfully developed a new biodegradable nappy.

These biodegradable nappies were tested over six months in accordance with the the Australian StandardAS4736-2006 for Biodegradable Plastics. Results showed that the nappies are more than 90% biodegradable, more than meeting the required standards!

Why Use Biodegradable Nappies?

Traditional disposable nappies may be convenient, but they are damaging to the environment. Instead of recycled materials, they contain chemicals and polymers which take a long time to break down in a land fill. Each child will use thousands of them before learning to use a toilet, so they are a real problem for the environment that EcoQuest has addressed. 

Biodegradable nappies decompose easily and can be either flushed or composted. Busy, environmentally conscious parents love these new biodegradable nappies that are just as convenient, but not harmful to the planet.

Given the positive results from both scientific and consumer testing, EcoQuest is now planning to launch the new biodegradable nappy range in domestic and overseas markets as swiftly as possible. 

EcoQuest will also market biodegradable baby wipes to accompany the launch of the nappies.
